I am an educator, researcher, and speaker. My work centers on teaching, learning, and technology. I the study literacy practices of individuals in online and hybrid spaces.

I’m currently an Associate Professor of Literacy Education at the College of Charleston. I’ve also worked at the University of New Haven, and the University of Connecticut. Before that I was a teacher and leader in public schools.

I write here mainly about literacy, technology, and education. I am a problem solver than can turn thoughts into action. I am energized when I examine all of the pieces, take control of a situation, and act. You can get updates via RSS, or just follow along on Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
