Sing the “ABC Song” All Around the World

This past week I was sitting in my office working on a chapter and Jax was playing nearby with the doll house lost in thought. Jax is my 4 1/2 year old son.

While he was playing, he continued to hum and sing songs and ultimately came around to a favorite, the ABC Song. He sang it through a couple of times, and then looked at me and said, “Daddy, when I get big, and big, and bigger, I want to sing the ABC Song.” I told him that he was singing it now and that he was doing a great job.

He replied, “No Daddy, I like the ABC Song and I think other people around the world should sing it. Can we sing it and have other people all around the world sing it?”

At that point I was working on sending materials for Learning Event Two out to the #walkmyworld hashtag and thought…you know what…we might be able to make this happen.

I recorded Jax’s request and his rendition of the ABC Song using Soundcloud. You can review the recording and annotate if you see fit.
